Using Mythic Structure in Storytelling

Mythic structure can be found in almost every myth worldwide from ancient
times to more modern-day films that have become blockbusters, like Star Wars,
Harry Potter, The Alchemist, The Host, and many others. This structure can help
create compelling stories and provide organization, so you're able to accomplish
a major writing project such as a novel. Students will learn about the 12 stages of
a hero's journey, and each week students explore different stages of the journey.
To get your creative energies flowing, writing assignments will also be included
each time. Students will be working with their own ideas for a novel or memoir,
so please bring your concepts and ideas with you. Evon Davis has successfully
published a number of books, including Pandora's Box, a modern-day version of
the myth.

This course offers flexibility for your busy life, including 12 hours of workshop
time which can be scheduled to fit your needs.  Please contact Evon Davis with
