Countdown to Pikes Peak Writers Conference

Wednesday, April 27th, 2011
The three-day conference starts on Friday, April 29th. I’ve completed Servant of the Secret Fire, the novel I started working on in late 2009, so I plan to pitch it while I’m there. Pitching is extremely helpful for getting focused on what the novel is about, therefore it’s a useful practice even if your novel is in its formative stages.

I have several goals I’d like to achieve with this conference, one of them is blogging daily and sharing the experience with my writer-friends and students who aren’t able to attend this year.

One of the things I like about going to writers’ conferences is the intensity of production it creates. For those who are interested in learning more about this conference, check out their website at http://www.pikespeakwriters.com/html/ppwc.html
